April 20 Patient Update:
To Our Valued Patients and Friends,
We hope every member of our Syosset Dental family is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times and you are strictly following all the stay at home recommendations. We really miss seeing our staff and patients as the mandated closures have now reached five weeks and will continue until at least May 15th.
For any of our patients with true dental emergencies, please call our office emergency number 1-800-347-1383 and your call will be returned ASAP. We can also be reached via email through our website at www.syossetdentalcare.com and we will reply or call back and we can also discuss any specific issues via video teleconference.
We also wanted to update everyone with what’s happening while we are on mandatory, temporary shutdown. In this interim period, we are participating in many dental forums, zoom conferences and webinars in preparation for our reopening. We are keeping up with all the latest CDC guidelines to ensure the safest experience going forward for our patients and staff. Although we have always followed and exceeded proper infection control protocols in the past, there will be changes; some temporary and some might become the “new norm”. We will provide more specific details as we more closely approach reopening, but they will likely include social distancing methods, expanded patient history information and temperature checks. We will be increasing personal protective equipment for staff as well as performing surface disinfection of common areas, restrooms, and counters throughout the day. Since we have been closed, we had a specialty company come in and perform a high level, complete office disinfection, from floor to ceiling, with all EPA approved products and sprays for killing COVID-19.
We are looking forward to getting back to work and seeing all of you soon to resume doing our part in helping with your dental care. Once we know a more definitive reopening date, we will be contacting everyone whose appointments were postponed to help reschedule. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have. We thank everyone for their patience during this time, and we wish everyone the best of health!
