To My Valued Patients,
I am writing this letter to let you know I have made the difficult decision to retire from the active practice of dentistry. I have loved my career and treasure the past fifty years of working with and treating each of you. I am now at the stage of my life where I want to pursue the opportunity of spending more time with my wife, Jane, and sharing as much time as possible with my children and grandchildren.
In 2012, I began thinking that the time was approaching to consider retirement in a few years. With that in mind, and after much consideration and careful thought, I decided to merge my practice with Syosset Dental. It was very important for me to be
comfortable and confident that my patients would be well cared for in the future. I have known Dr. Richard Kobak and Dr. Emmanuil Diamantakis for a total of almost thirty years and have worked very closely with them for the past seven years. I know we share the same philosophy and high ethical standards. They are highly qualified, well
trained, experienced clinicians, who are also caring, friendly and compassionate individuals.
Since I reduced my schedule over the past few years, most of you have already had the opportunity to meet and be treated by them. I am thrilled that the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. In addition, Joanne and Kim, who have worked with me for many years, will continue as part of our hygiene department and front desk administrative staff and will help with anything you need. All patient records and X-rays will remain on site at Syosset Dental. I will also be in communication with the doctors and staff, and will be available to help with any situations that will make the transition easier.
It is comforting to know I am leaving my patients in very good hands and strongly encourage you to continue your dental care with Dr. Kobak and Dr. Diamantakis. It has been a pleasure and an honor to take part in caring for your dental needs for all these years. I truly cherish all of the amazing relationships I have made.
